Privacy Policy

Your mail is yours. This policy explains what Paisan Mail accesses, why, where it is kept, and what never leaves your device.

What we access

With your permission, Paisan Mail connects to your Microsoft 365 account through Microsoft Graph. It reads your basic profile (name and email address), reads and manages your mail, sends mail when you choose to send, and reads your calendar to show today’s schedule. It does not access your contacts, files, or Teams chats.

Where your data lives

Paisan Mail runs on your computer and talks directly to Microsoft. Recent mail and your calendar are cached on your device in an encrypted database, and your sign-in tokens and the database key are kept in your operating system’s secure credential store. Your mail is never sent to Paisan servers, and we do not keep a copy of your mailbox.

Changes in your mailbox

Paisan Mail only changes your mailbox when you act or when a rule you created applies. For example, it marks mail read, archives, or moves a message to a “Held by Paisan” folder in your own mailbox. Held mail is never deleted, and Paisan Mail never permanently deletes anything. Deleting a message moves it to Deleted Items, just as in Outlook.

AI

Paisan Mail does not currently send your mail to any AI service. Its sorting is done on your device. If we add features that use an AI provider, we will update this policy before they are available and explain what is sent and why.

Diagnostics and analytics

Paisan Mail keeps a diagnostic log on your device to help troubleshoot problems. The log records errors and technical details, not message content, and is never sent to us automatically. The app does not collect analytics or usage tracking.

This website

If you contact us through this site, we receive your name, email address, and message so we can reply. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site. We do not sell or share your information.

Your choices

You can remove an account in Settings → Accounts, or remove all of Paisan Mail’s data from your device in Settings. You can also revoke Paisan Mail’s access at any time from your Microsoft account or your organization’s app settings. Uninstalling the app and choosing to delete its data removes everything it stored on your computer.
